Funeral arrangements were announced early Friday for the two Georgia Southern University nursing students from metro Atlanta killed in Wednesday’s pileup on I-16 that also killed three of their classmates.

The funeral for 20-year-old Emily Elizabeth Clark of Powder Springs will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Cobb County, with burial at Kennesaw Memorial Park.

A celebration of life for Catherine “McKay” Pittman, 21, of Alpharetta, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Alpharetta.

Morgan Bass, 20, of Leesburg, Abbie DeLoach, 21, of Savannah and Caitlyn Baggett, 21, of Millen, also died in Wednesday’s fiery chain-reaction crash in Bryan County west of Savannah.

The funeral for DeLoach will be held at noon Saturday at Savannah Christian Church. Funeral arrangements haven’t been announced for Bass and Baggett.

The five nursing students were riding in two different vehicles, on their way from Statesboro to a hospital in Savannah for the semester’s final day of clinical rotations. All five were juniors at Georgia Southern.

Clark graduated with honors in 2012 from Harrison High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was on the President’s list, the Dean’s list and on the executive council of the Alpha Delta Xi sorority.

Pittman was a 2012 graduate of Milton High School, where she played on the soccer team, and was president of the Alpha Delta Chi sorority at Georgia Southern.
