Three members of a Stone Mountain family were killed in an accident Thursday on the New Jersey Turnpike, according to New Jersey State Police.

An 18-year-old family member survived.

Police are investigating what caused a tractor-trailer to hit the back of a Toyota Camry around 10 a.m. Thursday near Mount Laurel, N.J.

The Camry’s driver, 51-year-old Ainsworth Mallett, his 49-year-old wife, Jacqueline Mallett, and their 12-year-old son, Drew Mallett, were all pronounced dead at the scene. A dog in the Toyota was also killed, according to authorities.

The couple’s 18-year-old daughter, Nicole Mallett, suffered minor injuries.

Channel 2 Action News reported Friday that Ainsworth Mallett operated the Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill on Rockbridge Road.
