A fourth suspect was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a Villa Rica jewelry store robbery that left the owner dead.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Cranford Phelps, 21, on Tuesday at 6 a.m. in southeast Atlanta. He is charged with murder and armed robbery, Villa Rica police spokesman Capt. K.L. Shaddix said.

Shaddix told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that police are looking for one more suspect related to this case.

Phelps and three of the other suspects entered Mobley’s Jewelry Company in Villa Rica on June 26 at around 12:30 p.m. where they fatally shot owner Mitch Mobley, Shaddix previously told the AJC.

Investigators believe Mobley had been trying to confront the men.

One suspect used a hammer to smash a glass display case. Three of the men ran out of the store and got into a “getaway” vehicle with a fifth suspect, Shaddix said.

Eric Billings, 16, of College Park tried to run away from the scene instead of getting into the getaway car. He was stopped by nearby business owner Ururahy Rodrigues and arrested, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Billings is charged as an adult with murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Shaddix previously told the AJC.

Raphel Rucker, 23 of Stone Mountain was arrested on Thursday, the morning after the break-in. Gregory Limark Clifton, 20, of Atlanta became the third suspect arrested on Friday evening.

Both Clifton and Rucker will be charged with murder and armed robbery.

Customers and members of the community created a memorial for Mobley outside of the jewelry store Thursday.

“It’s a shock for all of us to see a man that everyone in this county knows and then someone takes his life like that,” Neil Grimes, a customer, told Channel 2 previously. “He was just well known in the community and he did a lot for this community.”
