Hall County sheriff deputies arrested four people Tuesday on charges of murdering and robbing a taxi driver, said Deputy Nicole Bailes.
Deputies found a white Taxi El Palmer in the area of Barrett Road and Dorsey Peek Road around 5 a.m Monday after receiving calls about the vehicle. The car had left the roadway and traveled through some woods to stop behind a house, Bailes said.
Driver Isaias Tovar-Murillo, 46 of Gainesville was found shot and dead. Following an investigation and tipsters, deputies suspect 39-year-old Misty Moran of Gainesville was a passenger in the taxi and had shot Tovar-Murillo to death during an attempted robbery, Bailes said.
Deputies also arrested Margarita Leanos, 28 of Gainesville, Nicholas Gonzalez, 24, and Justin Adams, 22, all of Gainesville, who are accused of following the taxi and picking up Moran after the killing, Bailes said.
All four are in the Hall County jail on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, Bailes said.
