If you enjoyed your rainy drive in to work Wednesday morning, you’re going to love the soggy forecast for the rest of the work week and the weekend.

Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said the chance of rain is 60 to 70 percent every day through Sunday.

The National Weather Service said that while the potential for severe storms is low this week, “multiple rounds of showers and some thunderstorms can be expected.”

Rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches are likely by Sunday, the Weather Service said.

Overnight rain totals through 9 a.m. Wednesday ranged from .28 inch in Chamblee and .32 inch in Marietta to .53 inch at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, .59 inch in Dunwoody and .66 inch in Alpharetta.

Minton is predicting highs in the mid-70s Wednesday, low 62 Thursday, low 70s Friday and mid-70s Saturday and Sunday. Morning lows will be in the mid-50s to low 60s, she said.

Atlanta’s normal high for mid-April is 72, the normal low 51.
