A flash flood warning was posted for Cherokee, Bartow and Gordon counties Saturday evening after several inches of rain fell across the area.
The warning is in effect until 9:45 p.m.
The National Weather Service said radar estimates of between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain fell Saturday afternoon.
At 7:30 p.m., radar showed a band of heavy rain stretching from near Calhoun westward to Rome.
Channel 2 meteorologist Katie Walls said there’s a 30 percent chance of rain Sunday, diminishing to 20 percent Monday and Tuesday.
Highs will be around 86 Sunday and 88 Monday before returning to the low 90s Tuesday through Thursday. Lows will be around 70 degrees through the period.
