The father of conjoined twins born Thursday at Atlanta’s Northside Hospital took to social media Friday to update his wife and sons’ conditions and to ask for prayers for the family.

Asa and Eli Hamby were born at 7:32 a.m. Thursday by C-section to Robin and Michael Hamby, of Ladonia, Ala. The boys, born at 37 weeks, share a torso, arms and legs, according to their parents.

"We've had a lot of people curious about what's going on with Robin and the babies," Michael Hamby posted Friday morning on the Hamby Twins Facebook page. "Robin's doing good. She was up and moving around last night."

The twins, he said, “are doing OK.

“They do have them on some assisted air, they do have them incubated, but they’ve got good color.”

“We don’t fully know what’s going to go down, given what’s going on with their little bodies,” he said. “Anything still can happen; we need your prayers.”

He said he and Robin have “just been inundated” with messages wishing them well.

“I would like to ask everyone to calm down on texting us, sending us Facebook messages,” he said. “Just pray for us.”
