A father was arrested Thursday after South Fulton police said he poisoned his 18-day-old baby.

Officers were called to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite on Monday in reference to a child with serious injuries, the department said in a Facebook post. The infant tested positive for ethylene glycol, a chemical compound commonly found in antifreeze, police said.

Investigators identified the child’s father, 45-year-old Curtis Jack, as a suspect in the case, according to the post. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree cruelty to children and child endangerment, jail records show.

No additional details have been released.
