Every week: New Sunday feature Personal Journeys

By Ken Foskett
Sept 2, 2012

"Personal Journeys" is an exciting new feature for readers who like good writing and good stories.

Each week, our best writers will bring you local stories about the people who define metro Atlanta. Some of them you may have heard of. Some are known only to their family and friends. But they all have stories to tell about the joys and sorrows of life in our community.
Storytelling is a tradition the world over, and no more so than in the South, where common folk and great writers alike told tales to while away a summer evening, or leave a legacy for the next generation.
Metro Atlanta is full of stories that can inspire and deepen our understanding of where we live. We’ll help make those stories real with great photos from our award-winning photographers. If you are an iPad subscriber, you’ll also have access to interviews with our reporters and the folks they write about.
So read on and tell us what you think. And let us know if you have a story to tell.
