Two Ga. schools make top 100 best universities in the world

The Times Higher Education's World University Rankings 2015-16 list ranks two Georgia schools in the top 100.

The London-based magazine's rankings list, released in September, includes 800 universities around the world. It ranks them using 13 "performance indicators" in five groups: teaching, research, citations (research influence), international outlook and industry income.

Among the top 100, the Georgia Institute of Technology ranks at No. 41 with an overall score of 72.1. 

At No. 90, Emory University has an overall score of 59.7.

Here is a list of the top 10 universities across the globe:

1. California Institute of Technology, United States, with an overall score of 95.2

2. University of Oxford, United Kingdom, with an overall score of  94.2

3. Stanford University, United States, with an overall score of 93.9

4. University of Cambridge, United Kingdon, with an overall score of 92.8

5. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States, with an overall score of 92

6. Harvard University, United States, with an overall score of 91.6

7. Princeton University, United States, with an overall score of 90.1

8. Imperial College London, United Kingdom, with an overall score of 89.1

9. ETH Zurich-Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland, with an overall score of 88.3

10. University of Chicago, United States, with an overall score of 87.9
