Henry County’s Dutchtown Middle School celebrated Black History Month on Friday with a program on music from the days of slavery to present. The program, “ Behind the Music: More Than Just A Song,” included the work of Louis Armstrong, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson Five, Diana Ross, James Brown and others.Students at the Hampton school performed selections from various artists, and the DMS Chorus sang a moving spiritual.
