An 18-year-old driver was killed and her teenage passengers injured in a single-vehicle wreck on their way to school Thursday morning in DeKalb County, police said.

According to DeKalb police Capt. S.R. Fore, a 2006 Pontiac G6 left the roadway and struck a tree about 8 a.m. while traveling southbound on Snapfinger Road near Browns Mill Road.

Quaidera Woodson-Weeks and her two female passengers, ages 16 and 17, were all taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where Woodston-Weeks later died. The passengers, whose names were not released, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, police said Thursday afternoon.

All three teens attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School, about a mile away from the crash site. Woodson-Weeks was a senior at the school, Channel 2 Action News reported.
