Dolly Parton told "60 Minutes Australia" that 74 years isn't holding her back — in fact, she aims to be on the cover of Playboy for her next birthday.

“I just turned 74. I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” Parton said. “See, I did Playboy magazine years ago. I thought it’d be such a hoot if they go for it, I don’t know if they will ... if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

Parton has until Jan. 19, when she will turn 75, to accomplish that goal.

She originally appeared on the magazine cover at age 32, wearing a black leotard and bunny ears. She was the first country artist to pose for Playboy magazine.

According to NBC, she joked that if Playboy let her, she could maybe still wear the same costume.

"I'm kind of cartoonish, and cartoons don't really age that much. When I'm 90, I'll probably look about the same way! Just thicker makeup, bigger hair!" — Dolly Parton

While 90 is still a ways away for the famous singer, the Playboy magazine shoot first came up when “60 Minutes Australia” asked at what age she plans on retiring. Her answer was that she “didn’t plan on retiring.”

Why we picked this story

At our morning team huddle, we discuss stories that are “talkers.” People are primed to look for driving forces in the world, ones that we can explain through our collective experience. This is one example.

Parton released her first album, “Hello I’m Dolly,” in 1967. She first posed for Playboy in 1978. Two years later, Dollywood theme park opened in Nashville. In between all these milestones, she continued to release country music, star in films and TV, and even create a viral meme last January.

Regardless of whether Playboy responds to Parton’s wish, she continues to show that age is just a number.
