Cherokee County deputies are hoping to find the man accused of flashing a 10-year-old after she got off the school bus Thursday afternoon.

The girl told police the man exposed himself and made multiple inappropriate comments in the Twin Pines subdivision off Kellogg Creek Road, according to Lt. Jay Baker with the sheriff’s office. The girl screamed and ran home, Baker said.

Several deputies arrived in the neighborhood around 4:15 p.m. and searched for the suspect, but could not locate him, Baker said.

At least two witnesses heard the girl’s screams and saw the suspect’s vehicle as he drove away, Baker said. The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male with “salt and pepper” hair, and he was driving an older model, white, foreign-made sedan.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911.
