DeKalb teen fights off attacker after getting off school bus

Clarkston police have released a GBI sketch of a man suspected of attacking a DeKalb County high school student after she got off a school bus earlier this week.
The Tucker High School senior, whose name has not been released, described to Channel 2 Action News how she fought off her attacker Tuesday afternoon.
“He yanked me by my jean jacket, backing up, he grabbed me by my wrist,” the 16-year-old girl told the station.
She said she yelled at the man to “let me go!”
The girl said she was able to break free after punching the man. She ran home and called for help.
She told the station she was listening to music on earbuds and didn’t hear the man as he came up behind her and tried to drag her into a wooded area near her apartment complex.
“Absolutely his intentions were not good,” Clarkston police Sgt. Amanda Pritchett told Channel 2. “When you grab a kid and you’re trying to drag them to another place, certainly he is someone we want off the street.”
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
