A New Jersey daycare worker found 48 packets of heroin stuffed in a toddler’s jacket, and the child’s father has been charged in connection with the incident.

It is not clear what prompted the employee to search the 2-year-old's jacket, but the worker called Paterson, N.J., police after finding the drugs, according to the New York Daily News.

Police determined that 27-year-old Phillip Young accompanied the toddler to the center that day and arrested the dad.

Young faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, the newspaper reported.
