Tom Wargo's pet soup kitchen provides food for animals whose owners can't. In the beginning, he handed out free cat and dog food from his truck.

Back in the late 1990s Tom Wargo got calls from a church to help elderly women with home repairs. What he saw broke his heart: home-bound women sharing their noontime Meals on Wheels food with their pets. Now Wargo runs a pet food bank.

Daffy's Pet Soup Kitchen is a non-profit with around 1,000 clients. Tom Wargo pets his dog, Dylan, who was rescued after being neglected and injured.

Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen is one of seven nonprofits across the country being celebrated by the Barefoot Wine, which puts the organizations on its wine labels.

The good work of Wargo's nonprofit captured the attention of Barefoot Wine, a winemaker that features seven nonprofits on its labels.
