The father accused of abducting his 4-month-old daughter for several hours two days ago was arrested early Wednesday at a DeKalb County home, according to police.

Brenton Jefferson-Davis, 22, of a Decatur address, was arrested and charged Wednesday morning with theft by receiving stolen property, DeKalb jail records showed. In April, he was charged with both aggravated assault and aggravated battery in DeKalb.

Monday afternoon, a statewide Levi's Call alert was issued after Jefferson-Davis allegedly took his young daughter, Bailey Jefferson, from mother without her permission, Atlanta police said. Jefferson-Davis also assaulted the baby's mother, according to police.

At 8:20 p.m. Monday, the baby was found safe in DeKalb County, but police could not locate her father.

Wednesday afternoon, Jefferson-Davis was being held without bond at the DeKalb jail. It was not immediately known what he will be charged with in Fulton County, Atlanta police said.
