A man was found dead in the parking lot of the Indian Trail Court shopping plaza Wednesday morning. He was killed in a shooting, according to Gwinnett County police.

Gwinnett County police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Wednesday in the parking lot of a Lilburn-area strip mall.

The body of Enrique Razo, 40, of Lilburn, was discovered about 12:20 a.m. when police were called to the Indian Trail Court shopping plaza at the corner of Indian Trail Lilburn and Burns roads. The plaza includes a billiards hall, a discount store and several other small businesses.

Investigators do not have a description of a suspect, according to a Gwinnett police spokesperson. Detectives and the crime scene unit worked overnight to collect evidence at the scene.

“The motive for this crime is still being investigated,” spokesperson Cpl. Ryan Winderweedle said in a news release. “It is believed some kind of altercation ensued prior to the shooting.”

A motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, according to Gwinnett County police.
