A man who police say is a “violent, documented gang member” was arrested Tuesday in connection with two separate shootings in South Fulton just a year after being released from prison.
Larry Little Jr., 32, faces a slew of charges, including five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree cruelty to children, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission or attempt of a felony in two July incidents, South Fulton police spokesman Lt. Jubal Rogers said.
The most recent shooting happened July 23 in the 7500 block of Absinth Drive. The victim told police that Little, who was her boyfriend at the time, physically assaulted her during a domestic dispute, Rogers said. At some point during the encounter, Rogers said Little went to his vehicle, retrieved a gun and began shooting at the home. The victim was not injured.
Just six days prior, Little is accused of robbing and shooting a person after a fight about money in the 200 block of Redding Ridge, Rogers said. The victim, who knew Little before the incident, sustained injuries that were not life threatening, according to Rogers
Little has served several stints in prison, with the earliest being in January 2009 until the end of that year after he was convicted of simple battery in DeKalb County. By 2013, Little was back in prison serving a nearly two-year sentence for gang participation in DeKalb. Most recently, he was released from Hays State Prison in July 2021 after serving since June 2016 for gang participation in Peach County.
At the time of Little’s arrest in Fulton County, he was also wanted for violating his probation.
