DeKalb County police have released photos of a suspect in a gas station shooting that injured a bystander Wednesday afternoon.

Officers got a call around 4:45 p.m. about a person being shot at a Texaco on Columbia Drive near the Eastgate Shopping Center just north of I-20. When they got there, they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to his leg, police said in a statement.

The victim’s injuries were described as not life-threatening, and he was taken to a hospital. He did not appear to be the intended target, according to investigators.

Police said the victim was pumping gas when someone drove by and fired multiple rounds at another vehicle with a man inside. Both the suspect vehicle and targeted vehicle then fled.

The police department released stills of security footage showing the suspect and a black four-door sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department’s homicide assault unit at 770-724-7850.
