A Gwinnett County man is accused of shooting and killing his brother Monday afternoon. Then, according to police, the gunman called 911 to report what he had done.

Shortly after 1 p.m., investigators were called to a home on Deep Springs Drive, between Santee Street and Sandy Stream Drive, near Stone Mountain, according to Gwinnett police.

Arron Robinson, 47, called 911 and said he had just shot his brother, police spokeswoman Hideshi Valle said in an emailed statement. When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Michael Robinson dead inside his home, Valle said.

“Upon arrival, Arron surrendered to Gwinnett police officers without incident,” Valle said.

Robinson was charged with murder and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Gwinnett jail, where he was being held late Monday, booking records show.

No possible motive was released. Police said there was no threat to the public.
