A man who was on the Atlanta Police Department’s “Most Wanted” list was arrested Friday.

Corey Comer is accused in two separate homicides in areas south of Atlanta, officials said. He had been on the “Most Wanted” list since Nov. 27. He was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Saturday.

The 20-year-old is facing two counts each of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the fatal shootings on Nov. 17 and May 6, according to police.

On May 6, Douglas Banks was shot multiple times near the Cleveland Avenue Library in the Browns Mill Park neighborhood in southwest Atlanta, police said. The 37-year-old died from his injuries at the hospital.

On Nov. 17, officers responded to the East Ridge Park apartments in the Glenrose Heights neighborhood in southeast Atlanta. Kendarius Davis, 17, died at the scene after being shot, authorities said.

“During his short-lived life, Kendarious lived an extraordinary life filled with love and laughter,” his obituary states. “His infectious smile and presence will be missed dearly by his family and friends.”

Authorities say Comer, 20, used an illegal switch to rapidly fire multiple rounds in both incidents.

“Switches are illegal devices that transform a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic one, making them highly dangerous,” police said.
