A Barrow County man seen arguing with another man in his driveway was found shot to death, according to police.

Deputies were called Wednesday to a Hoschton home on Victron Drive on a report that a man was lying in his driveway with a knife, Barrow sheriff’s Capt. Cory Almond said.

“Upon arrival, the deputies were able to determine the victim had a gunshot wound on his chest and he was pronounced dead at the scene,” Almond said in an emailed statement.

Police later identified the man as Daniel Fowler, 44.

Investigators have identified a suspect but declined to release the name due to the ongoing investigation.
