It had been several years since they broke up, and she had moved on, gotten married and settled down in Gwinnett County.

He didn’t.

Miguel Angel Olan Almodovar, 24, of Lawrenceville, is accused of going to his ex-girlfriend’s home April 20 and pointing a gun at her husband when he refused to let him see her, according to a Gwinnett County police incident report obtained by AJC.com.

Olan Almodovar allegedly pointed a handgun at the man’s head and threatened to shoot him. When the husband continued to refuse to let him in, he walked away, firing at least six shots at the home, which is near Lenora Church Road, before driving away, the report said.

Four bullet holes were found in the garage door, one was found in the side of the home and another was found to have gone through a living room window, the report said. A bullet ended up hitting their dog in the neck, according to a warrant obtained by Channel 2 Action News.

His ex-girlfriend told officers that Olan Almodovar began trying to contact her on social media about a month ago, but she “had not spoken to him or attempted to contact him,” the report said. Earlier that evening, the driver-side window of her vehicle was destroyed while it sat in the driveway, and she suspected Olan Almodovar was responsible.

Olan Almodovar was arrested Wednesday, jail records show. He faces seven counts of aggravated assault, one count of second-degree criminal damage to property, aggravated cruelty to animals and pointing a gun at another, jail records show.

He remains in jail without bond.
