A 17-year-old murder suspect was arrested Tuesday morning outside the same DeKalb County park where he allegedly shot and killed a man in February, police said.

Jahiem Hayles was taken into custody about 1 a.m. after police spotted him walking with another man near Biffle Park in unincorporated Stone Mountain, DeKalb police spokeswoman Michaela Vincent said.

Hayles was wanted in connection with the Feb. 8 death of 22-year-old Daniel Allen, who was shot in front of Biffle Park as the result of what investigators are calling “risky behavior.”

Hayles is charged with one count each of armed robbery and murder and remains held without bond at the DeKalb County Jail, online records show.

No other information about Hayles’ arrest or the Feb. 8 shooting has been released.
