A 19-year-old was killed and a 20-year-old was injured in a double shooting in southwest Atlanta on Wednesday night.

Officers found the teenager fatally shot in a parking lot in the 900 block of Peeples Street, according to Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos.

The 20-year-old man, who had been shot in the hand, drove himself to Emory University Hospital after the incident, Campos said. At the hospital, he told police that his friend had also been injured in the same shooting.

Officers at the scene said the 19-year-old had “multiple gunshot injuries,” Channel 2 Action News reported. His name has not been released.

Investigators said the men arrived at the location on Peeples Street in the same car. It is not clear what led to the shooting. Police do not have a lead on a suspect.

An investigation is ongoing.
