Woman shot in Clayton County hotel room

A woman was shot Friday afternoon inside a hotel room at the Magnolia Bay Hotel and Suites in Jonesboro, Clayton County police say.

The shooting happened about 3 p.m. at the Magnolia Bay Hotel and Suites on Southside Commercial Parkway.

She was taken to the hospital and her condition is unknown, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
