A woman fatally shot in a Buckhead bar on Saturday was the sister of a senator, according to a media report.

Taylor Hayden, 25, of Texas was killed outside The Anchor Down Grille & Lounge about 5 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses told police that there were two groups of men shooting at each other in the parking lot, and Hayden was shot during the exchange of gunfire, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

ABC affiliate KTSP confirms Taylor Hayden is the sister of Minnesota state Sen. Jeff Hayden.

The senator posted on Facebook that his sister had been caught in the crossfire between two gangs.

Hayden wrote on his personal Facebook page:

“It is with a heavy heart that I report that my sister Taylor Hayden has been killed last night in Atlanta. She was caught in the crossfire of two rival gangs at a local nightclub. Please pray for my family.”
