A grand jury on Tuesday indicted a Macon woman accused of shooting a teenager in the head outside her house.

Elisabeth Faye Cannon allegedly shot Vernon Marcus Jr. after he and others were throwing rocks at her house on Jan. 16, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

The 47-year-old is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery because police say she fired at another teenager but didn’t hit him.

Marcus survived the shooting but can no longer talk or walk, according to an indictment obtained by the Macon Telegraph.

Cannon told the newspaper a group of teens had been throwing rocks at her house for weeks and she had warned them to stop harassing her.
