Police aren’t sure what happened in a home where a man and a pregnant woman apparently fought before a shooting Saturday.

The fatal shooting happened about 9 p.m. in the 600 block of Oliver Street in northwest Atlanta, Atlanta homicide commander Lt. Charles Hampton said.

"There was some type of argument between the male and the female," Hampton said.

A later identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office as Anthony George, 51, of Atlanta, died en route to Grady Hospital.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was been detained by police and interviewed at police headquarters, Hampton said.

Four children were in the home at the time of the shooting, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Donald Hannah said.
