Forsyth County authorities are seeking an Atlanta man they say stole a woman’s car just after she placed an order at a Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru.

Wayne Christopher Alford, 19, is sought in connection with the July 8 incident on McGinnis Ferry Road, sheriff’s spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said.

About 7:20 p.m., a deputy responded to a report that said a man had forced a woman out of her Toyota Rav4 and had driven eastbound toward Gwinnett County, according to the incident report.

The woman told deputies that the man reached through the open driver-side window and unlocked the door, according to the report. The man grabbed her by her hair and forced her to the ground.

She then ran to a nearby church and called police, according to the report.

The victim told the deputy that her iPhone was in the stolen car, according to the report. The deputy used the “find my iPhone” feature to track the car to the 8000 block of Riverwalk Landing. The phone was found in the subdivision’s pool area.

Alford was identified as a suspect from a fingerprint taken from the vehicle, according to the incident report. He is described as 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds.
