More than three years after a man’s body was found in his carport, his wife was arrested in his death Wednesday in Cartersville.
Sharon Davidson, 57, faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault with intent to murder in the 2013 death of 60-year-old Frank Davidson, Cobb police Lt. Nathan McCreary said.
On April 22, 2013, officers were called to a home in the 3500 block of Paul Samuel Road near Kennesaw, where they found Frank Davidson’s body lying in the carport. Police later determined Frank Davidson was killed “under circumstances that indicate foul play,” police told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
There had been no new developments in the case until Wednesday, when police arrested Sharon Davidson about 6:20 p.m. McCreary did not say what led authorities to identify her as the suspect in the case.
Sharon Davidson is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
One of Frank Davidson’s homes was the scene of another homicide investigation more than 20 years ago.
A childhood friend of Frank Davidson’s, Robert Lee Bruce, was sentenced to life in prison for killing Davidson’s ex-wife in September 1992, The AJC reported. Bruce died in October 2012.
