A gunman opened fire on an SUV leaving an Atlanta wedding rehearsal dinner early Saturday morning, hitting the vehicle six times and striking a passenger in the foot.
The victims told police they were driving along I-85 at Cheshire Bridge Road when a black four-door vehicle pulled alongside them and began shooting.
Atlanta police are looking for the person who fired the shots.
“The victim was unable to give any reason why they were targeted,” said Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones. “They advised they were not involved in any argument or disagreement prior to the shooting.”
Police told Channel 2 Action News that the shooting could have been a case of mistaken identity.
The woman who was shot in the foot was in stable condition, police said.
