A grandmother says a video shows a woman stealing a package off the front steps of her Cobb County home right after it was dropped off by an Amazon delivery driver, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The woman told the news station her Ring doorbell camera caught the woman stealing the packages at her Clubland Drive home in east Cobb.

The incident happened in the Indian Hills neighborhood, the news station reported. The victim, who did not want to be named, said she got an alert that an Amazon driver dropped off the package Monday.

“Either she followed (the delivery person) or she saw him turn in and waited for him to leave and came back later to retrieve the packages,” the victim said.

The video shows the woman park her car in the driveway, walk up to the steps of the home and steal the packages hidden behind a post, Channel 2 reported.

The victim said the package the woman stole contained gifts for her grandchildren. She said she shared the video with other neighbors, some of whom recognized the woman.

Police are investigating the theft and trying to identify the suspect.
