A 26-year-old man who was shot and killed Monday after an argument escalated in southwest Atlanta was identified as Samuel Curtis, according to an investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.

According to Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones, the victim was shot in the chest at a rooming house in the 1400 block of Mozley Place. Police, who were called to the scene about 9:10 a.m., suspect the victim got into an argument with another man who fled the scene of the incident.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” Jones said.

No other details were released.
