After being arrested in Alabama, the teenager accused of a deadly shooting at a Conyers manufacturing facility was extradited to Georgia, authorities said.
Cameron Golden, 18, was booked into the Rockdale County Jail on Wednesday. He faces counts of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Golden is accused of shooting and killing 42-year-old Dart Container Corp. employee Taurus Andrews at the company’s plant about 7 a.m. Friday, AJC.com previously reported. Hours after the shooting, Golden was taken into custody at a Greyhound bus station in Birmingham.

Golden, who recently relocated from Arkansas, was a temporary employee, the sheriff’s office previously said. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
Deputies found Andrews lying on the ground at the food service manufacturing plant off Ga. 138. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Andrews joined Dart in June 2018 as a utility worker, according to the company. His grandmother said he worked the overnight shift and got off at 7 a.m.

“Our Conyers coworkers are part of our Dart family, and we offer them our condolences for the loss of their coworker and compassion as they process this heartbreaking incident,” a company spokesman said in a previous statement.
