Atlanta police are investigating a Wednesday night shooting that left a 41-year-old man dead.

Witnesses of the 9:45 p.m. shooting in the 3000 block of Wanda Circle in southwest Atlanta took the victim to Atlanta Medical Center South, where he was pronounced dead, Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy said.

The victim, identified by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office as Marquis Stephens of Atlanta, had at least one apparent gunshot wound to the lower abdomen, she said.

Police have made no arrests, and have not revealed a motive for the shooting.
