Lilburn police were still working Saturday to identify a woman hit and killed late Friday night while crossing a dimly lit street.
City of Lilburn spokeswoman Nikki Perry said the woman was crossing U.S. 29 at Bradley Woods Court when, around 11:30 p.m., she was struck by an eastbound vehicle. A second car also hit the woman, who died at the scene.
“Neither driver saw her until their vehicles struck her … ,” Perry said in an emailed statement. “She was not in a pedestrian crosswalk.”
No charges were pending.
“No one has reported a missing person at this time, and police are working to identify the victim,” Perry said.
