Deputies arrested four people, seized thousands in cash and removed more than 48 pounds of narcotics from Rockdale County on Tuesday, officials said.

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office spent three months working with the Narcotics/Vice Unit on the undercover drug bust, according to a release.

Felix Almanza-Yerena, 42, Maria Guadalupe Mendoza Ruiz, 23, Jose Miguel Parra, 28, and Adan Serna Soberanis, 30, were in the Rockdale County Jail on Wednesday facing charges of trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in heroin and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

During the arrests at multiple residences, agents recovered 22 kilos of cocaine, more than six ounces of heroin, $50,953 cash, multiple firearms and two vehicles with hidden compartments used to traffic drugs, the sheriff’s office said.

The seized drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $660,000.
