Tip about drug shipment leads to 160 pounds of pot, arrest

Working off a tip about a potential drug shipment arriving from California, Rockdale County authorities nabbed 160 pounds of marijuana and arrested the man believed to be behind the operation.

Marlon Clarke was charged with trafficking marijuana during the Aug. 2 drug bust on Farmer Road in Conyers, the Rockdale sheriff’s office said.

Authorities said the shipment possibly came from Los Angeles. A search warrant was executed on Clarke’s home, where officials said they found the drugs.

Clarke remained in the Rockdale County jail Tuesday.
