The woman who allegedly stole a minivan during a test drive at a Hall County car dealership has been arrested, sheriff’s officials said.

Amanda Yvonne Moore, 41, was arrested in Carroll County and is in the Hall County jail, according to a Facebook post Wednesday by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened May 17 at Kar Kingdom in Buford.

“Moore presented a stolen driver's license to the employees of the dealership in order to test drive a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica,” the sheriff’s post read. “Trouble is, she didn't bring it back, and car dealers generally take exception to such behavior.”

Investigators said they worked with other agencies on the case. They also had surveillance photos from the dealer’s cameras.

The minivan is still missing, so people with knowledge of the case can contact sheriff’s officials at 770-531-6879.

At the time of the incident, salesman Corey Washington told Channel 2 Action News he never would’ve guessed the woman was a thief because of her casual demeanor.

“She was very comfortable when she did it,” Washington said. “She was real calm and collected; it probably wasn’t her first rodeo.”
