A teen is accused of killing a man who gave him and his friends a ride, then dumping his body and driving off in his SUV.

Antavian Love, 16, allegedly shot and killed Enrique Ramirez Trejo of Covington not long after Trejo got off work Saturday night.

Trejo was on his way home when he stopped at a convenience store and offered three men a ride, according to a release from Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday morning, sheriff’s deputies found Trejo’s body with multiple gunshot wounds in a drainage culvert a few miles from the gas station.

On Sunday evening, a Covington police officer spotted and stopped Trejo’s Expedition. The three men inside, including Love, fled but were later caught, the release says.

Love is charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, theft by taking and theft by receiving. Police say there may be more charges.
