A SWAT standoff with an armed man closed all lanes on I-20 in DeKalb County about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Police responded to a three-car accident in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near Panola Road, Channel 2 Action News reported.

A man in one of the vehicles produced a gun and told officers he would not be taken alive, police said.

Officers got all civilians out of the area and tried to speak with the man while SWAT responded.

All lanes of I-20 east remained shut down while SWAT officers moved in and took the man into custody. Police told Channel 2 the man did not have a gun.

All lanes have been reopened since the incident.
