DeKalb police have charged — but not arrested — two people in connection with the Friday night gas station shooting that left one person injured and another dead.

Capt. S.R. Fore said officers responded to the Texaco station at 3521 Flat Shoals Road shortly before 11 p.m. Friday, finding 18-year-old Cortez Ingram and 19-year-old Torin Waters shot in the parking lot. Both were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where Ingram later died.

Waters was in serious but stable condition Monday, Fore said.

“Information obtained from the scene indicated that the victims were parked at the gas pump when a white vehicle pulled up and shot at them multiple times,” Fore said.

Authorities did not release further information regarding the actual incident, but said detectives had identified two suspects and issued arrest warrants charging them with murder. Fore declined to release the suspects’ identities, saying authorities were “currently making efforts to locate and apprehend” them.

Fore said detectives were also working to identify a third suspect in the case.
