Someone stole a car from a valet service and hit an employee with it while driving away, Atlanta police said.

The white Dodge Charger was stolen from a valet in the 500 block of Main Street, according to Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. John Chafee.

Chafee said it appears the vehicle was still running when someone hopped in it and drove away.

A valet employee stepped in front of the car as it was pulling off. The car hit him as it sped away, Chafee said. He sustained minor injuries due to the incident.

An investigation is ongoing.
