Police in Union City are looking for a man who opened fire on a gas station security guard and ran away.
The shooting happened about 2 a.m. at a RaceTrac in the 4200 block of Ga. 138, according to police spokesman Lt. Christopher Murphy.
When police arrived, they found the security guard with a gunshot wound to his leg, Murphy said.
The guard told police he saw a man breaking into a customer’s vehicle. When the guard confronted him, the man fired and ran, Murphy said. The security guard returned fire, but was hit.
