A man accused of abducting a 15-year-old girl in Newnan and stabbing four of her family members also has been charged with rape.

Adrian Garcia-Zamarron, 22, is in the Bibb County jail without bond, records show.

The alleged rape happened about 7 a.m. Saturday in north Macon, the Macon Telegraph reported.

He’s accused of forcing the girl to have sex by threatening to kill her if she refused, the newspaper reported, citing the arrest warrant.

The girl was kidnapped late Friday from a laundromat in the 100 block of Temple Avenue, the GBI said.

Garcia-Zamarron’s white BMW convertible was recovered Saturday morning on I-75 by Monroe County deputies, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. They also recovered his cellphone.

Officials found them walking along a road in the area near where the vehicle was found, leading to Garcia-Zamarron’s arrest, Newnan police said in a news release.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has placed a hold on Garcia-Zamarron at the jail, and Newnan police have charged him with kidnapping and aggravated assault in connection with the laundromat stabbings.
