A man was arrested early Friday in North Carolina in connection with the slaying of a man whose body was found recently in Oconee County, according to a media report.
Jamar Antron Harris, 32, of Rock Hill, S.C., was taken into custody after a car chase and an exchange of gunfire, the Athens Banner-Herald reported. An arrest warrant charging Harris with murder had been obtained.
The arrest comes after the body of Rendell Joman Cunningham of Lancaster, S.C., was found on Aug. 27 in Oconee County, the paper reported.
In a Facebook post, Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry said a local witness provided key information, as did a viewer of the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
