Student charged after prank bomb threat call at Dalton High School

A Dalton High student has been charged with making terroristic threats after a prank bomb threat put the school on a precautionary lockdown Friday morning.

Investigators, working with telephone companies, determined that a bomb threat call placed at 9:20 a.m. was made on a cell phone from inside the school building, Dalton Police spokesman Bruce Frazier said. They determined which student made the call and took the juvenile into custody.

The student, who was not named, was taken to juvenile court and then to the youth detention center.
